Mas At a Called meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 4:30 P.AI. on September 25, 1961, payor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners l' Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hoole and Mayor Cherry (5). Alayor Cherry offered motionthat the executed copies of the Notice of Called . Meeting to be held at 4:30 P.M. on September 25, 1961, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and 7•Iayor Cherry Commissioner Davis offered motionthat the reports of the Paducah "later Clorks be received and filed, and ghat the folloiring checks be turned over to the City Treasures to be deposited in the proper accounts: Refuse collections for August, 1961 w10,158.65 Sewer Service Charges for August, 1961 10,283.50 Bad Refuse accounts collected during Aug. 1961 5.20 Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the sale by the City of Paducah to IGrs, Mattis C. I•lassie of the south west corner of Lot No. 13 in Block No. 8 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Settle claim of Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the claim of Clair L. Parr (1821 N. Clair L Parr Knoxville Avenue, Peoria, Illinois) in the sum of :3110.00 for damages to his person and property by reason of an alleged defective public driveway on the west side of 6th Street between Broadway and Kentucky Avenue, on or about May 24, 1961, be allowed, and that the Treasurer pay said claim after securing a full and complete release. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Rebecca Jarboe of the south one-half (16x10 feet) of Lot No. 27 in Block No. 2 of the Mausoleum Addition to Oak Liab. Insurance VI.T.L•lilkinson i 11m. R. Burnett appointed to Board of Adjusement Grove Cemetery for the sun of ,200.00, I further move that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery lot. Commissioner Hoole offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to "I. T. Jilkinson and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from September 14, 1961, be received-, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry made the following appointment: There being a vacancy in the member ship of the Paducah-IcCracken County Board of Adjustment due to the death of G.L.Chilton I hereby appoint 'Jilliam R. Burnett to serve the remainder of the unexpired term of G.L. Thompson be employed as a fireman in Thompson fireman i the fire department of the City of Paducah at the beginning salary of ;)250.00 per month effective October 1, 1961, provided that by such time he furnishes, at his expense, the City Manager with a satisfactory medical report as to his physical condition, including an electrocardigram. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Employ Kenn: Mayor Cherry offered motion that Kenneth Wayne Collier be employed as a firema Wayne Collie fireman I in the fire department of the City of Paducah at the beginning salary of u280.00 per Schuette & Taylor audit Electric Pla Board Compensation Electric Pla Board Members V Employ Willi, Williams and Lentz Audit 1961 Approve plat I.E.Bailey (Fred Miles) McGuire and Trimble month, effective October 2, 1961, provided that by such time he furnishes, at his expen: the City Manager frith a satisfactory medical report as to his pjysical condition, in- cluding an electrocardigram. Commissioner Gholson offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION SELECTING AND DESIGNATING SCHUETTE & TAYLOR, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTA14TS OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO AUDIT THE RECORDS OF THE ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Hook offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF THE 1-M-1IBERS OF THE ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Davis offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EPIPLOYi•ENT OF WILIIAMS, WILLIAMS AND LENTS, CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT TO MAKE AN AUDIT OF THE ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND ALL CITY OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR 1961 II CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYMENT TO THEM OF THE SUM OF w3,000.0011, be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Commissioner Fendley offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY PLANNING COZZlISSIC RESPECTING THE SUBDIVISION OF PROPERTY OF IVAN E. BAILEY (FORMERLY FRED 'MILES), LOCATED Oil THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF McGUIRE AVENUE A'ID TRI}IDLE STREET, APPROVING THE PLAT OF SAID SUBDIVISION, AND SUBDIVIDING SAID PROPERTY", be adopted.
