Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah August 15, 1961
At an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the
Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on August 15, 1961,
Mayor Protem Hook presided in the absence of Mayor Cherry and upon call of the Roll the
following answered to their names: Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Pro -
tem Hook (4), Mayor Cherry being absent (1)
Remove "No Commissioner Davis offered motion that the Police Department be directed to
Parking"from
Ky Ave 19th toimmediately remove the "Ido Parking" regulation on Kentucky Avenue from the west line of
28th Streets
19th Street to the east line of 28th Street. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas;
Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and =Mayor Protem Hook (4).
Employ Earl W. �/- Commissioner Gholson offered motion that Earl i9. Braun be employed as Chainman

EnFineerine in the Engineering Department of the City of Paducah at a salary of X240.00 per month,
Dept. retroactively effective as of August 14, 1961. Said employment yment not being under civil
service. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and
Mayor Protem Hook. (4).

of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Protem Hook (4).
Commissioner Davis offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "Ail ORDINANCE
GRANTING AN EASEMENT FOR THE LAYING OF @TATER MAINS IPJ CERTAIN SAND IN KOLB PARK TO THE
W- II SSIONERS OF ?LATER IJORKS, FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT_ OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;
DESCRIBING THE LAND TO BE INCLUDED IPJ SAID EASEMENT; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS OF SAID EASEMENT", be introduced and remain on file for at least one (1) week
for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final
passage. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, -.Fendley, Gholson
and Mayor Protem Hook (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY 'ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY
LYING ADJACENT TO THE WEST CORNERATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE
BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED J•IfTHIN SAID CORPORATE LIAIITS", be adopted.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Protem
Hook (4).
Dlayor Pro Tem Hook offered motion that the petition signed by business people and
vpM elantR of Rrid¢e Street opposing the four lane drive on Bridge Street, be received and
filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and
Mayor Protem Hook (4).
On motiom the meeting adjourned.
