Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Padooeh February 21, 1961
At a Called fleeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:30 P.M. on February 21, 1961, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of Called
Meeting to be held at 5:30 P.M. on February 21, 1961, be received and filed. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Payor Cherry (5).
Liability Ins. ,-" Commissioner Davis offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The
Harper R; Gray
Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to J. M. Harper and J. E. Gray d/b/a Harper &
Gray and the City of Paducah, Kentucky for a period of one (1) year from January 1, 1961,
be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5).
Liability Ins. Commissioner Davis offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued by The
Ky. Steel
Erectors, Incl Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to Kentucky Steel Erectors, Inc, and the City

of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from February 10, 1961, be receive,
approved and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley
Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5).
Bd. of Educati n Commissioner Fendley offered the following motion: In connection with the Board
Budget, etc/
of Education tax rate for 1961, I move that the following be received and filed:
1. Copy of Minutes of the Board of Education of February 15, 1961 relative to
the Special School Tax Rate of 500.
2. Copy of Resolution of the Board of Education of February 15, 1961 relative to
the Regular School Tax Rate and Poll Tax.
3. Copy of the General Budget for 1961 of the Paducah Independent School Distric

Sell grave Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
Rushing Add
Jack Overstreet sale by the City of Paducah to Jack Overstreet of the north east corner of Lot 17 in
Block 8 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be author-
ized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5).
Jesse H Paschal Mayor Cherry offered motion that the resignation of Jesse H. Paschal as a member

filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholoon,
