At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.i-i. on July 5, 1960,ayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the notice of Called
;:eeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on July 5, 1960, be received and filed. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and i•;ayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Gholson offered motion that this Board receive, approve and file
liability insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company of New York to J. C.
Habacker d/b/a Chastaine & Habacker & City of Paducah, Kentucky for a period of one
year from July 1, 1960. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis,
Fendley, Gholson, Hook and iiayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the follo:•ring named persons be, and they
are hereby, employed as temporary laborers in the Public "forks Department, Refuse
Division, of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, at a salary of 1)1.23 per hour, effective
July 5, 1960. Such employment not being under civil service.

Commissioner Hook offered motion that the report of the police department for the
month of June, 1960, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,

Commissioner Davis offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AEI ORDINANCE
REPEALING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: 'AN ORDIl1A:ICE CREATING A CITY BEAUTIFUL BOARD FOR THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PRESCRIBING THE P•MIBERSHIP, TERI+iS OF OFFICE APD DUTIES
OF SAID BOARD', WHfCH .'JAS ADOPTED Oil i3AY 10, 1955 AND AhIMENDED ON i -:AY 10, 196011, be
adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson,
Hook and Mayor Cherry (5).
File contract Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the executed copy of the contract between
D -Y Sunray Oil CIP
the City of Paducah and D -X Sunray Oil Company, for the furnishirtS of Regular and Ethyl
gasoline, motor Oil, etc. for the period from July 1, 1960 to December 31, 1960, be
received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley„
Gholson, Hook and iiayor Cherry (5).
