Proceedings of. Board of Commissioners City of Paducah June 28 1060
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.I•i. on June 28, 1960, i:',ayor Pro
Eem Hook presided in the absence of Mayor Cherry and upon call of the Roll the
followring answered to their names: Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor
Pro Tem Hook (4), Kayor Cherry being absent (1).
Mayor Pro Tem Hoo'.c offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for June 14,
and June 28, 1960 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting prepared by the City
Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Pro Tem Hook (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the petition of E. Chaffin Moorefield
and his wife, Elaine Moorefield, for permission to make one 3/4 -inch connection to the
existing 24 inch water main owned by the Paducah Water Works located on Lone Oak Road,
for the purpose of furnishing water to one residence only to be constructed upon Lots
7, 8 and 9 in Block 16 of Sanders Arcadia Subdivision in McCracken County, Kentucky,
fronting 120 feet on the north side of Lone Oak Road, and outside the corporate limits
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request in said
petition be granted in accordance with the terms and conditions in said petition.

Commissioner Davis offered motion that the Board of 'Commissioners approve
the sale by the City of Paducah to Hamock Funeral Home of the south west corner of
Lot 15 in Block 8 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City
Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted
on call of the roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Pro Tem
Hook (4).
Commissioner Davis offered motion that this Board receive, approve and file
liability insurance issued to the City of Paducah covering work done by Floyd Keeling
dba Keeling Gravel Pit, for a period of one year from June 9, 1960, also bond of the
said Floyd Keeling in the amount of 1)8,200.00 dated June 11, 1960. Adopted on call ofl
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, find Mayor Pro Tem Hook (4).
Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the executed copy of the contract
between the City of Paducah and w. H. Yancy for resurfacing certain streets in the City
together with the Performance Bond of the said d. H. Yancy, be received and filed.

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the cpntract between the City and
Hannan Supply Company for 1000 feet of j'_• -inch fire hose, be received and filed.

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the followring named persons be, and th
are hereby, employed as temporary laborers in the Public :forks Department, Street Divis
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, at a salary of 1j1.231 per hour, retroactively e.ffecti
as of June 27, 1960. Such employment not being under civil service.
