HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 24, Page 165, May 27, 1960No 165 Proceedings of Board of Commissioners oily of Paducah May 27- 1960 Judgment Verlon Cumbee policeman 0 At a Called i•Ieeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 5:00 P.M. on May 27, 1960, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). Mayor Cherry offered motion that the executed copies of the notice of Called fleeting to be held at 5:00 P.i•i, on i3ay 27, 1960, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and P•Iayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Fendley offered the following motion: I move that the Board of Commissioners adopt the following and attached findings of fact and judgment upon charges preferred by Raleigh L. Brockman, City I•Sanager of the City of Paducah, against Verlon Cumbee. The Nayor and Board of Commissioners having heard the evidence upon charges preferred against the defendant, Verlon Cumbee, a member of the police department of the City of Paducah by Raleigh L. Brockman, City Manager, and being sufficiently advised, does now adjudge that said defendant is guilty of violating rules 11, 17 and 21 of an ordinance adopting, the rules governing the conduct of members of the police department adopted on January 7, 1947. It is therefore the judgment of the Board of Commissioners that the defendant, Verlon Cumbee, be, and he is hereby suspended without pay as a member of the police department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for a period of 10 days, effective immediately. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Davis, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Cherry (5). On motion the meeting adjourned. ADOPTED 1960 APPROVED 1'41 •ayor ,( T City Clerk
