ORDINANCE NO. 2002-8- 46SS
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN A LIABILITY
GRANT FROM THE KENTUCKY LEAGUE OF CITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2002 Kentucky League of
Cities Liability Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 935 on February 5, 2002, for the
purchase of landscape structures and playground equipment for Stuart Nelson Park; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Leagues of Cities has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement
and all documents necessary to obtain a 2002 liability grant award in the amount of
$2,054.00 from the Kentucky League of Cities for the purchase of landscape structures
and playground equipment for Stuart Nelson Park. The Public Works Department will
provide the required match of $2,054.00
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the KLC Liability
Grant account (EQ0008).
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
