HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 23, Page 77, July 27, 1954No. --.-77 BoarCommissioners _ Proceedings of d of _— _ City of Paduwh__,J_u1Y?Tv, 195b ---, At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7.30 P.M. on July 27, 1954, Mayoror Cherr Y presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissionersl Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4), Commissioner Jacobs being absent (1). Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for July 13 and July 23rd, 1954 be waived and that the Minutes of said Meetings as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannini Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Liability policy Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, Edward S. Dooms & Son /file and approve liability policy issued by the Fidelity and Casualty Company of New G & H Plumbing Co & Paducah York protecting the City of Paducah with respect to work done by Edward S. Dooms and Supply Cc E. D. Hannan Co Joe E. Downs d/b/a Edward S. Dooms and Son for a period of one year from August 6, 1954; Endorsement to be attached to policy No. MCS 307436 issued by the United States Fidelity) and Guaranty Company covering G & H Plumbing and Heating Company and Paducah Supply Company; and also policy issued by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company to Emmett H. Hannan and David Hannan d/b/a E. D. Hannan Company for a period of one year from July 31, 1954• Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Bond of Percy Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the Bond in the sum of $1000.00 Green Delinq. I Personal Prop. Tax Attorney executed on July 26, 1954 by Percy H. Green as Delinquent Personal Property Tax Attorney( with New Amsterdam Casualty Company as Surety, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Deed from Xavier Commissioner Riggs offered motion that the Deed from Xavier Yo and wife, Yopp to City pp i property at 27th & I-:ason & Park I -able Louise Yopp, dated July 21, 1954 to the City of Paducah, conveying property at the Avenue intersection of 27th Street with Mason Avenue and with Hinkleville Road (Park Avenue), be received and filed; said deed having been recorded in Deed Book 351, page 399, in the McCracken County Court Clerk's office. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Player Cherry (4). Plat of Sub- division of Commissioner Hughes offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE nropert of Xavier 'opn APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING CO1,z1ISSION RESPECTING THE 27th & Pari: Ave. SUBDIVISION OF PROPERTY OF XAVIER YOPP FRONTING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF PARK AVENUE, THE NORTH SIDE OF MASON AVENUE, BOTH SIDES OF THO1•PSOI! AVENUE, AND THE EAST SIDE OF 27TH STREET, ALL LYING BETWEEN 27TH STREET AND 25TH STREET (EXTENDED), APPROVING THE PLATS OFI SAID SUBDIVISION AIID SUBDIVIDING SAID PROPERTY", be adopted. Pro .edngs of SOard of Commissioners City of Paducah July 27, 1954 PROPERTY OF SOUTHERN BELL TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH CODTANY SITUATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF QUARLES AVENUE IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; AND AUa^HORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE A SUIT IN THE McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID PORTION OF SAID UTILITY EASIMENT LEGALLY CLOSED", be adopted.
