Proceedings of Doard of Commissioners City of Paducah July 8._195_4- At ,1954 At a Called Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 11:30 A.M. on July $, 1954, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered motion that the Notices of Called Meeting held at 11:30 A.M., Thursday, July B, 1954, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the boll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4) Petition Commissioner Hannin offered motion that a letter signed by Edward B. Douglas protesting annexation and a petition, signed by Jack D. Colvin and others, opposing the annexation of propert maple 'Wood Terrace in Area F of the proposed annexation program, be received and filed. Adopted on call Of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Liability Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, policy Chastain & file and approve Memorandum of Insurance issued by the Fidelity and Casualty Company Habacker protecting the City of Paducah with respect to work done by J. C. Habacker dlb/a Chastain & Habacker for a period of one year from July 10, 1954. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Policies & // Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the following bond and liability policies be bonds Chastaine &, received, filed and approved: Habacker +atioral Gas & Policy issued by the Fidelity & Casualty Company protecting the City with Supply Inc. :tiller & respect to work done by J. C. Habacker d/b/a Chastaine & Habacker for a period of one Johnson year from July 10, 1954.• Policy issued by the Fidelity & Casualty Company protecting the City with respect to work done by National Gas & Supply, Inc. for a period of one year from July 14, 1954. Policy issued by the Fidelity & Casualty Company protecting the City trith respect to work done by C.C.Miller & Clifton Johnson d.b.a Miller & Johnson for a period of one year from June 25, 1954. Bond of I•iiller & Johnson in the amount of *1000 dated June 25, 1954• Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Air Pollution/ Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the report of the Air Pollution Report Control District of McCracken County be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). 0ontract Cc-mminnioner Jacobs offered motion that the Contract between the City of R. B.'i yler Insurance Paducah, Kentucky and R. B. Tyler Company, Inc. dated June 30, 1954, together with the policy & Peri'. Bond Certificate of Insurance issued by the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, and the Performance bond executed by the flatioral Surety Corporation, be received and filed. Load between the City of Paducah and M. Fuller dated June 29, 1954 and the Performance Bond of ti:e said E. Y. Fuller be received and filed. further move that the Cashiers Check executed to the City by the Peoples First National Bank & Trust Company of Paducah, Kentucky in the num of ;;1500.00 accompanying said Land, be delivered to the City Treasurer. Proceedngs of Board of Commissioner,s^________ City of Paducah ZUIYA.., 1954 Street Light Commissioner Riggs offered motion that a petition, signed by Mr. and Mrs. Sieghts & i Virginia Sts L. A. McReynolds and others, requesting the installation of a street light at the corner of Seitz and Virginia Streets, be received and filed, and that the City Manager be directed to have an investigation made to determine the need for a street h light at this location, and if upon investigation it is found that said street light is needed, that he instruct the Kentucky Utilities Company to make such installation. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Water connec- Commissioner Riggs offered motion that the petition of Daniel Collier and tion on Lackey Street wife, Rachel Collier, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the 1A inch privately owned water pipe line located on Lackey Street and owned by the Schneidman Road water Line Number 2, for purpose of furnishing water to one residence only upon lot 116 in Bell and Utterback's Sub -division and fronting 50 feet on South side Plater line Contract !/ R.C.Morrow Gerald Griffin 61r main in Coart Avenue of Lackey Street in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the Corporate Limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request petitioned' for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered the following motion: I move that a contract entered into on the 7th day of July, 1954, by and between the Paducah Water works, party of the first part; R. C. Morrow and wife, Erma Rae Morrow, parties of the second part; and Gerald J. Griffin and his wife, Margaret B. Griffin, parties of the third part, relative to the construction of a 6 -inch cast iron water main in Court Avenue, approximately IF36 feet west of 39th Street and extending in a westerly direction approximately 650 feet and to a point 20 feet west of the east line of Lot 42 in Block uCrr of Sunset Court Addition, and located in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, be received and filed, and that said contract be approved in accordance with the terms set forth therein. on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor O motion the meeting adjourned.
