Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for June 8 and June 16, 1954 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5) . Rater line 1) Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the petition of Carl L. Dunlap and wife, M innich Ave Alma Lee Dunlap, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the privately owned water pipe line located on i•Iinnich Avenue for the purpose of furnishing water to one residence only to be built upon property now owned by petitioners and fronting 183 feet on Minnich Avenue in McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and brat the request petitioned for ther be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Johnson, for Stuart Nel- son Park Rd permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to a six inch cast iron wrater pipe line owned LOST by the Paducah Water Works, so as to furnish water to one residence only located on property owned by the petitioner fronting 121 feet on the West side of Stuart Nelson Park Road and located in McCracken County, outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah Kentucky, be received and filed, and that the request petitioned for therein be granted, subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Police Commiszioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition from the Police Department petition 40 -hour requesting a 40 -hour work week consisting of five 8 -hour days for the personnel of the week department, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5). Grave F:ush 44 Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the Addition I El=r, sale by the City of Paducah to Elmus 'rlhitfield of Grave No. 45 in Block No. 8 of the Whitf i uld Gushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that tkte City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. CQ=izsioner Hughes offered motion that the letter of Juno 21, 1954 from the change order letter Board of Education of the City of Paducah, Kentucky relative to the designation of repro- zentatives to issue change orders on behalf of the City of Paducah .in connection with the construction of the new Paducah High school building, be received and filed. Nolan & �Son'l Presley -Hasp in the amount of M5,456.70 for services rendered by Presley Plumbing & Heating Company, also the letter from the Paducah Municipal Hospital Commission by its Chairman, approving the payment of said account, be received and filed, and that payment thereof be approved and the City Treasurer be directed to pay same from funds in the Riverside Hospital Building Account. Refuse account Commissioner Jacobs offered the following motion: I move that the SETTLEMYENT: flay 1954 Corrected j/ CITY REFUSE ACCOUNT - MAY 31, 1954, prepared and submitted by the Paducah Water Works statement April 1954 be received and filed, and that the check in the amount of ;-'10,41$.60 be turned over to the City Treasurer to be deposited in the General Fund. I further move that the corrected statement .for April 1954, showing overpayment to the City on April ^ccount in the amount of 01000.00 be received and filed. Annexation / Commissioner Riggs offered motion that a copy of the motion adopted by the Paducah Planning and Zoning Commission on June 16, 1954 recommending that the Board of Comm- issioners undertake annexation proceedings with respect to the red shaded areas shown on I the map attached hereto, be received and filed.
