Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for December 9, 1958 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved v as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, I Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (5). ;Vater connec� Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that the petition of Van D. Fiser and his tion Husbands Road Van D. :-rife, Blanca R. Fiser for permission to make one 3/4 -inch connection to the privately Fiser owned water pipe line of the Husbands Road Community Water Company for the purpose of furnishing water to one residence only upon a lot owned by petitioners fronting 288.35 feet on the west side of Husbands Road in McCracken County, Kentucky, outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fiarhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and _Iayor Jacobs (5). Employ Mrs. Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that Mrs, Nell C. Walker be temporarily Nell C.Walker Queenie employed in the Finance Office, effective December 22, 1958 at a salary of 1]180.00 Dinning in finance per month, and that Mrs. Queenie Dinning be also employed as such effective January 5, 1959 at a salary of w180.00 per monyh, such appointments being only temporary and subject to termination at any time by action of this Board. Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah December 23,_3958 Holiday Commissioner Hook offered motion that all city employees be allowed afull- Christaas Ev day holiday on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1958, with the exception of the members of the Police and Fire Departments, which shall be granted a full-day holiday at later dates upon authorization of the department heads. Broyles Commissioners approve the sale to Ray G. Broyles of Lot No. 7 in Block No. 1 located on Holt Avenue between Yopp Avenue and Stewart Avenue in the Mausoleum Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery for the sum of $240,00. I further move that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery lot.
