of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on August 28, 1958, Mayor Pro Tem (look

Nayor Pro Tem Hook offered motion that the executed copies of the Notice of
Called Meeting to be held at 7:30 P.M. on August 28, 1958, be received and filed.
Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson and Tlayor
Pro Tem Hook (4).
Liability Insura ae Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued

Construction Company and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for a period of one year from
August 14, 1958, be received, approved and filed. Adopted on call of the doll, Yeas,

.1 Commissioner Fendley offered motion that the letter .from Captain Charles Hill
requesting demotion from Captain in the Fire Prevention Bureau of the Fire Department to
the grade of a Lieutenant in the Fire Department, be received and filed; and he further
moved that such request be granted and that the said Captain Charles Hill be changed
from a Captain in the Fire Prevention Bureau to a Lieutenant in the Fire Department of
the City, effective September 1, 1958. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that Julian Upshaw, a private in the Fire
Department of the City, be promoted to an engineer in such department, ,effective
September 1, 1958. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst,
Fendley, Gholson and I4ayor Pro Tom Jacobs (4).
Commissioner Gholson offered motion that Elmer Crouch, a member of the Fire
Department of the City, be promoted from a private to a Lieutenant in the Fire Prevent
ireau of the Fire Department, effective September 1, 1956. Adopted on call of the

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the Certificate of Insurance issued

Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that an ordinance entitled:
ORDINAIJCE PROPOSING ANIJE&1TION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYIHG ADJACENT TO THE WEST
CORPORATE LII•IITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY
OF SUCH TERRITORY TO 3E ANNEXED TO SAID CITY; AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND
NECESSITY OF SUCH AiR,EXATION", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson and Mayor Pro Tem Hook (4).
On motion the meeting adjourned.
