Commissioner Gholson being absent, r, Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for June 24, M' 1958 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, ii Fendley, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (4). water main Commissioner Hook offered the following motion: Roger F. Christie is the Harrison btw 24th & 25th ' owner of property located on Harrison Street between 24th and 25th Streets, and said R.F.Christiei owner desires that an extension of the existing water main be made so as to provide x water service to the property above referred to. It appears from the endorsement by the Board of Commissioners of Plater Works that the applicant has complied with all rules and regulations of the said Paducah i Water storks as approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. I there- fore move that the application of Roger F. Christie be accepted and approved and that the Board of Commissioners of the Paducah water works be authorized to execute the agree ment for the laying of said extension and that the Board of Commissioners of Paducah Water works be authorized to lay a six inch main along Harrison Street beginning at �d existing main on 25th and Harrison Street and extend in an eastwardly direction to the west side of 24th Street, a distance of abproximately 430 feet. I further move that the adoption of this resolution and the granting of the 9 request contained in said application be considered as an agreement on the part of the City of Paducah to pay the fire hydrant and water main rental, as protded in the franchise on theipe line referred to in the p' petition and in this motion. Said rantall to begin -when said water main has been laid and water provided for on the street above referred to. Settle claim o Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that the claim of King :'loodall in the sum of King -Woodall' :190.00 for damage done to one of its buildings by a refuse truck of the City, on or about March 15, 1958, be allowed and that the city treasurer be, and he is hereby, directed to issue a check to said King -Woodall for said sum, after securing a full and complete release. Tax Exoneratio s Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that exonerations prepared and delivered by 19826 thru 20101 i the City Treasurer being 749826 through 20101, inclusive, be received and filed, and that the amount of same totaling w18,655.26 be exonerated on the tax bills shown and designated by said exonerations. I further move that the said Dan Joe Weir be, and he is here- by, promoted to the position of Grade "A" patrolman in the police department of the City, effective July 16, 1958, at a monthly salary of y280.00, which shall be exclusive of an automatic wage increase. Clement as Alcoholic Beverage Administrator shall in no way affect his present employment as License Inspector of the City, and the same shall not affect his compensation for such services, 4ncluding motor vehicle allowamce.
