Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the minutes for March 1, 1958 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Accept bid Hal i Z Commissioner Gholson offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE Perry Southside', Elementary Sch, ACCEPTING THE BID OF HAL PERRY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTHSIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY TO BE FINANCED BY THE ISSUANCE OF CITY OF PADUCAH SCHOOL BUILDING REVENUE BONDS; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAME", be adopted. Dinning G. Ellington Fred Wilkins, City Treasurer, dated February 26, 1958, requesting the appointment of Finance Dept, Mrs. Queenie Dinning be extended to May 1, 195$ and requesting the appointment of Mrs. Geneva Ann Ellington from March 1 to May 1, 195$ be received and filed; I further move that Mrs. Dinning and Mrs. Ellington be given temporary appointments retroactively effective from March 1 1958 t 95 o May 1, 195$; each to receive a salary of ;1$0.00 per month during such employment. FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF r;9 AND 411 LIMESTONE,', KENTUCKY STATE HIGHWAY SPECIFICATIONS, FOR USE BY THE CITY DURING 1955, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAME, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the petition of Leo F, Keiler and others, joining with the First Baptist Church, in petitioning the City of Paducah to close Kentucky Avenue from the Keiler property to Nahm Street, be received and filed. Commissioner Hook offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "All ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF SPECIAL OBLIGATION BONDS (SCHOOL BUILDING REVENUE BONDS) IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 162.120 THROUGH 162.290 OF Tim KENTUCKY REVISED STATUTES, TO PROVIDE FU14DS FOR SCHOOL BUILDING PURPOSES, PROVIDING AND DETERMINING THE DUTY OF SAID CITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE OPERATION OF THE SCHOOL BUILDING PROPERTY AND THE CREATION OF FUNDS SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON SAID REVENUE BONDS AS AND WHEN THEY MATURE AND THE CREATION OF AN ADEQUATE MAINTENANCE If AND INSURANCE FUND, AND AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE PADUCAH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE OF SUCH FOREGOING PROPERTY TO SAID BOARD OF EDUCATION IN THE FORM OF A CONTRACT, LEASE AND OPTION", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final paszage.
