':ayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for January 25, 195 be waived and that the ::inutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approve as vritton. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, ( Gholson, lloo : and ::ayor Jacobs (5) . Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that James ',Walden 01 Daniel be employed a policeman in the Police Department of the City of Paducah at a starting salary of ' %OO per month, effective February 3, 1955. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas ,-niissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Fairhurst offered the following motion: I move that the Audit Report of the City of Paducah for the year ended December 31, 1957, prepared by ':!illi,= , Williams and Lentz, Certified Public Accountants, be received and filed, and that the Audit Report of the Improvement Accounts of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for the same year and prepared by the said Accountants, be also received and filed. I further move that the City Treasurer be authorized to publish in the Sun - Democrat the condensed form of said Audit Report. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hoo': and I<ayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Rooke offered motionthat Robert Shelbourne, Jr. be proposed from his present rank of Patrolman to the rank of Sergeant in the police department of the Jity of Paducah, Kentucky, at a salary of j2L7.00 per month, which shall be e:mlusivo of any automatic wage increase, such promotion to be effective as of February 1, 195.'.
