At a Regular ::ccting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City ::all, Paducah, Pentuc r, at 8:30 A.I% on January 25, 1958, Bayer
Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:

layor Jacobs offered motion that the readinZ of the idinutes for January 18,
1958 be waived and that the >linutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be
approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst,
Fendley, Gholson, Hook and iiayor Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A
:RESOLUTION PERTAIUIIiG TO THE REAPPRAISAL PROJECT, THE BOARD OF ECIUALIZATIOiI OF THE
CITY eF PADUCAH, KEIITUCK , AILD THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF RUE TUE", be adopted. Adopted
on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, Hook and I-layor
Jacobs (5).
Commissioner Fairhurst offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive,
file and approve Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company
of 'lea York to ::orrow ?. Company and the City of Paducah, Kentucky for a period of one
year from January 1, 1958. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson, IIook and I•Iayor Jacobs (5).
Co=issioner Fendley offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive,
file and approve Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company
of ::ew Yor:c to C. C. England Z. bi. C. Ruggles, Jr., and the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
covering trucking operations within the city for a period of one year from January 1,
1958. :adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Gholson,

Commissioner Gholson offered motion that the check from the Paducah 'J1ter Ylor}
ir. the amount of;1;.00 for bad refuse accounts collected during December 1957 be turne
over to the City Treasurer to be deposited in the General Fund. Adopted on call

Payor Jacobs (5).
"ayor Jacobs offered motion that Robert' Holt be promoted from his present rankof
Lieutenant to the rank of Captain in the police department of the City or Paducah,
I:entucky, at a salary of ,315.00 per month, which shall be exclusive of any automatic
wage increase, such promotion to be effective as of February 1, 1955. Adopted on
call of the Poll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, Fendley, Cholson, Hoo':; and :"ayor
Jacobs (5).
Uayor Jacobs offered motion that Dorrell Thomas be promoted from his present
rank of Patrolman to the rank of Sergeant in the police department of the City of Paduca
at a salary of•".2$7,00 per month, which shall be exclusive of any automatic ;rai;c in-
crease, such promotion to be effective as of February 1, 1958. Adopted on call of
the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fairhurst, rendloy, Cholson, :'ook and ::ayor Jacobs (5).
