Harrahan,etc Letter of Association Commerce Recreation Refuse Settl ment October 1957 At a Regular itceting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at $:30 A..7. on tlovember 30, 1957, 14ayor Jacobs presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for Uovember 23, 1957 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, 1•IcBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Lally offered motion that the petition signed by Stanley Hack, Jr. and others, requesting the condemnation of sufficient property belonging to Joe Tucker to allow for right-of-way connecting Shelby Street and Harahan Avenue and removing of fences in Harahan Avenue and Kentucky Street, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Clark offered motion that the letter dated November 22, 1957, signed by J. S. Piers, President of the Association of Commerce, addressed to Mayor George Jacobs, commending the City Commissioners, the City Manager and the members of the Park Board for the excellent results achieved in the past feet years in improving the City Recreation Program, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner Clark offered the following motion: I move that the SETTLEMENT - CITY REFUSE ACCOUNTS - October 31, 1957, prepared and submitted by the Paducah water Works, be received and filed. I further move that the check in the amount of ;1$,73$.75 be turned over to the City Treasurer to be deposited in the general fund. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Commissioner McBride offered motion that the employment- and services of Charlie Johnston, as a temporary laborer in the Floodwall Department be, and the same is hereby j terainated as of t:ovomber 29, 1957.
