Board of CaiajirsionersCity of At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissionero held in the Commission Chambet of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P-14. on April 27, 1954, biayor Cherry presided and UDon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners -hes, Jacobs , Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5). Hannin, Hu, Kayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for April 13th and 20th, 1954 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Cleric be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeau, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5). Pe tition openj: V/' Commissioner Jadobs offered motion that the petition signed by Mr. and Mrs. C. G. alley 25 to I Jackson -Ohio English and others, requesting that the alley way running from 25th to 26th Streets between Jackson and Ohio Street be opened, be received and referred to the City Manager for investigation and report. Petition Remove Street Commissioner Riggs offered motion that the petition of Frank Overmeer and others Light rr3229 Jefferson St requesting the removal of a pole and light in front of #3229 Jefferson Street be receivej and referred to the City Manager for investigation. Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the recommendation of the Police Depart - around Wester Bapt ist HospT ment concerning the location of street lights around the Idestern Baptist Hospital be received and filed and that the City Manager be authorized to request the Kentucky Utilities.Company to install lights at the following locations: Ili In the middle of the block on the south side of Broadway between 25th & 26th Sts; In the middle of the Block on the North side of Ky. Ave. between 25th & 26th Sts; In the middle of the block on the east side of 26th St. between B11fay & Ky. Ave; In the middle of the block on the west side of 25th St. between B'Way &.Ky. Commissioner Hannin offered the following motion: I move that the motion adopted by this Board on April 20, 1954 approving payment to homes J. Nolan e,. Sons of the amount of i�41,106.66 for services rendered in connection with the construction of Riveraide Hospital Addition be rescinded. I further move that the statement of Thomas J. Nolan & Sons in tile amount of ",000-00, also the letter from Harold L. Sullivan, Chairman of Riverside Hospital approving the payment of said account, be received and filed, and that paymen be approved and the City Treasurer be directed to pay same from funds in the 1100pital huildin3 Account.
