HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 23, Page 388, March 9, 1957Proceedings of Board of Conisnioners City of Paducah I -larch 9 1957 At a Regular Ndeeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 8:30 A.M. on I -larch 9, 1957, Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan presided in the absence of Mayor Jacobs, and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Clark, Lally, I•Ic➢ride and Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan (4). Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for February 26, 1957 be waived and that the I•iinutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride and I•Iayor Pro Tem Trevathan (4). Police Dept Commissioner Lally offered motion that the following reports of the police reports department be received and filed: (1) Improper parking 4,1957 nadrunk under the wheel for the period ending March (2) Summary of arrests, tickets collected and total collections £or the month of February, 1957 n (3) Summary of arrests and dispositions for the month of February, 1957 I: Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride and Mayor Pro em Trevathan (4). Revi:eachan;Commissioner McBride offered motion that the resignation of Cameron L. resignation ✓✓✓✓✓✓ Library Bd.V:eacham, as a member of the Library Board, be received, filed and accepted. Commissioner Clark offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A AUTHORIZING THE CITY LIANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE OPERATION OF EATING AND DRINKING CONCESSIONS AT NOBLE PARK FOR THE YEAR 1957, AND PRESCRIBING THE MANNRE IN ;•/HIGH BIDS SHALL BE ADVERTISED FOR AND RECEIVED", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride and Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan (4). Commissioner Clark offered motion that an ordinance entitled: +IAII ORDINAN APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING COI<II•IISSION RESPECTING REZONING OF PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BROADWAY BETWEEN 26Th AND 27TH STREETS AND PJ,ZIDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride and Mlayor Pro Tem Trevathan (4). Commissioner Lally offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AUTIIGRIZII:G THE FURCHASE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM PADUCAH BASEBALL ASSOCIATIOPI, INC. A:'D PROVIDING FOR THE TERNS AND CONDITION'S OF SAID PURCHASE", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
