Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for November 20, 1956 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Ially, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Street light ✓ / Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition signed by William H. Turner, O•wen�s & Norton StsIj Dunkerson, 2900 Turner Street, and others in that vicinity, requesting the installatior of a street light at the intersection of Turner, Owens and Norton Streets, and the I'. recommendation of the Police Department concerning same be received and filed and that the City Manager be authorized to request the Kentucky Utilities Company to make said installation. Durward Johnso�, Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that Patrolman Durward Johnson be, and he is promoted to Sergeant hereby, promoted to a Sergeant in the Police Department of the City of Paducah, Kentuck at a salary of 3272.00 per month, effective December 1, 1956. Adopted on call of th Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5). Accept bid of Commissioner Clark offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE Brandt on coin sorter & count r ACCEPTING THE BID OF BRANDT AUTOMATIC CASHIER COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY OF ONE COIN SORTER AND COUNTER, WITH ATTACHMENTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT TO PURCHASE SAME", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
