HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 23, Page 339, October 23, 1956N. 339 Proceedings of Board_of COmI[I78s{oners _ City of Paducah October 2),- At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.Pi. on October 23, 1956, Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride and Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan (4) Payor Jacobs being ( absent from the City. Mayor Pro Tem Trevathan offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for li i; October 16, 1956 be waived and that the Minutes of said mseting as prepared by the II City Clerk be approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Lally, McBride and Payor Pro Tem Trevathan (¢). Letter R.A. I,' Commissioner Clark offered motion that the letter from R. A. Philpot exprossi.ng Philpot gratitude to the City on the fine work in cleaning the ditches on 29th street between Georgia and Cornell Streets, be received and filed. Luckett, Commissioner Reappraisal of Revenue of the Commonwealth of Kentucky relative to the reappraisal of the City of I Paducah, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas Commissioners Employ Clark, Lally, McBride and mayor Pro Tem Trevathan.(4). Homer Commissioner Clark offered motion that Homer Skinner be, and he is hereby, Skinner Cemetery employed as Cemetery Superintendent effective October 17, 1956, at a salary of ;270.00 Supt. per month, pursuant to, an ordinance creating such position adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 11, 1956. Hall "Jest one-half of Lot No. 23 in Block No. 7 of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave.
