Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the minutes for August 28, 1956 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be, I approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4)• Water connection Commissioner Clark offered the following motion: I move that the petition Dixie Avenue S.E.Thompson of Steward E. Thompson, and his wife, Catherine L. Thompson, for permission to make i; l Water connection . Court Avenue i P. Stambaugh ✓ Water main Clay btwi 23rd !/ and 25th Sts R.F.Christie one (3/4) inch connection to the privately owned water pipe line of the Husbands Road Community hater Company for the purpose of furnishing water to one residence only upon a lot owned by petitioners fronting 65 feet on the North side of Dixie Avenue in McCracken County, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that the petition of Paul Stambaugh and wife, baribel Stambaugh, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to a 61, water pipe line owned by the Paducah Plater Works so as to furnish Crater to one resider only located upon lots 30, 31 and part of lot 32 in .Block oB° Sunset Court Addition to] the City of Paducah, Kentucky, fronting 62.29 feet on the north side of Court Avenue i McCracken County, Kentucky, and outside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and that the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Trevathan offered the following motion: Roger F. Christie is the owner of property located on Clay Street between 23rd and 25th Streets, a distance of approximately 806 feet, all of which property is presently vacant � and said owner desires that an extension of the existing water main be made so as to { provide water service to the property above referred to. It appears from the endorsement of the Board of Commissioners of Plater Works' that the applicant has complied with all rules and regulations of the said Paducah Water corks as approved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. I therefore move that the application of said Roger F. Christie be accepted and approved and that the Board of Commissioners of the Paducah dater Works be authorized to execute the agreem,:nt for t'he laying of said extension and that the Board of Commissioners of Paducah ?iater 'dorks be authorized to :install a 6 inch crater main on and along Clay Street from, 23rd ::trect to 25th 5troet, a distance of approximately 806 foot. I further move that the adoption of this resolution and the granting of the 1 request contained in said appliL'ati.on be considered is an agreement on the part of the! City of Paducah to pay the fire hydrant- and water rain rental, as provided 'in tho franchise, on the pipe line referred to in the petition and In this motion. I move that the Board of policies G & H Plb Co Commissioners receive, file and approve liability insurance issued .by The Employers* Chastaine &' Habacker Liability Assurance Corporation to the City of Paducah covering work done -by G,& H & W T. Wilkinson Plumbing & Heating Company fora period of one year from July 11, 1956;' Certificate of Insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company to the City of_Paducah and J. C. Habacker, d/b/a Chastaine & Habacker, for a period of .one year from July 10, 1956; and also liability insurance issued by The Fidelity and Casualty Company to 41. T. N. 325 Proceedings oF—floard_of_C.ommiasianers City of Paducah September 11, 1956 Reappoint Lou s Commissioner Trevathan offered the following motion: The term of office of Kolb & Roy Stewart Jr Q Louis Kolb and Roy Stewart, Jr. as members of the Board of Adjustment, City Planning Board oft Adjustment and Zoning Commission, having expired on August 16, 1956, I now therefore move that said members be reqppointed for a term of four (4) years so that said board as now constituted shall be composed of the following members: G. L. Chilton, whose term will expire on August 16, 1958 Ed Cave, Jr. whose term will expire on August.16, 1958 . Louis Kolb, wh,se term will expire on August 16, 1960 Roy Stewart, Jr., whose term i-ill,expire on August 16,.1960 C. D. Emery, City I. -Tanager, of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, against the defendant, Pete Throgmorton, a police officer of said city, for the reprimanding, suspension or removal of said defendant from his position as such police officer, be received and filed; that a hearing of said charges be held on September 14, 1956 at the hour of 4:00 o+clock P.M. CDT in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, after notice of said charges have been served upon the defendant at least two days before such hearing. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that Warren 0. Morris be temporarily employed as a mechanic helper in the Public Works Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky at a salary of $1.44 per hour, said appointment to begin September 16, 1956 and is only temporary and said employee shall be subject to removal at any time by order of the Board of Commissioners/ Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commission- ers Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Clark offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "API ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT 1111TH MIDDLE WEST ROADS COMPANY FOR THE RESURFACING OF NOT MORE THAN TEN BLOCKS OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, INCLUDING THE RAISING AND RESETTING OF MANYOLES, CATCH BASINS AND MONUMENTS, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID CONTRACT", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
