At a Called Ideeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.AI, on May 22, 1956, Mayor Jacobs presided
and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Clark,
Gangnath, IcBride, Trevathan and I'>Zyor Jacobs (5).
Mayor Jacobs offered motion that the copies of the Notice of Called Mecting to
be held at 7:30 P.M. on May 28, 1956, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
Settlement Commissioner Clark offered motion that the check of Merchants Fire Assurance

fire &wheel Corporation of New York in the amount of $I,4.19 payable to the City of Paducah for loss
of one (1) tire and wheel stolen from an automobile used by the police department of the
City on I -larch 30, 1956 at the street department garage, be received and that the same
be delivered to the City Treasurer with instructions to credit same to Account No. 3185.

Sell lot Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the

to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of con-

Builders Risk Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Memorandum of Insurance issued by the

Carrothers New Hampshire Fire Insurance Company, shotring the Builder's Risk Insurance with extended
Const. cc
coverage secured by Carrothers Construction Company, Inc. for their operations under
Contracts 1 and 3 of the Sewerage Improvement Program, be received and filed. Adopted onl

Arr:ended Commissioner Gangnath offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive,

Heating and Indemnity Company covering work done by John A. Eastwood, Jr. d/b/a Eastwood Plumbing

Employ Carl Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that Carl Baker be, and he is hereby,

Transfer Commissioner Trevathan offered the following motion: I move that the affidavit
portion of
cemetery lot of descent executed on May 7, 1956 by Mrs. Frank Patter relative to the heirs of Susan

received and filed.
I further move that the Board of Commissioners approve the transfer from Mrs.
Clara Phillips Patter and her husband, Frank Patter, to Arthur watts and his wifo,

Commistioner Clark offered motion that a Resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTIGII
AUTHORIZING THE CITY NAHAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR FURNISHING THE CITY OF PADUCAH
WITH ITS REQUIREhIENT OF REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL, MOTOR OIL, CHASSIS
LUBRICA11T, GEAR LUBE OIL AND ANTI -FREEZE TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FROM JULY

Commissioner McBride offered motion that the petition of the Outboard boating
Club of Paducah regarding, construction of a ramp on the river front between Broadway
and Kentucky Avenue, etc, be received, filed and approved. Adopted on call of the
Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Gangnath, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (5).
I•ayor Jacobs offered motion that the'resignation of Harold L. Gangnath as
City Commissioner be received, filed and accepted with deepest regret. Adopted on
call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Mayor Jacobs (4).
