HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 23, Page 278, April 24, 1956Na 2 -t -IR Proceedings City of Paducah April 24, 1956 At a Regular Neeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on April 24, 1956, Mayor Jacob presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:' Commissioners Clark, McBride, Trevathan and Aiayor Jacobs (4). Commissioner Gangnath was absent when the meeting was called to order. Mayor Jacobs offeredmotion that the reading of the Minutes for April 10th and April 17th, 1956 be waived and that the Minutes of said meetings as prepared by the City Clerk be approved as written. EastwoodI file and approve Certificate of Insurance issued by the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Eastwood Plb & heating Co Company to John A. Eastwood, Jr. d/b/a Eastwood Plumbing & Heating Company for a period of one year from April 16, 1956. Carrothers Const. Cc li be, and it is hereby, notified to commence work upon Contract No. 3, Sewage Treatment commence world Plant of the Sanitary Sewerage Improvement Program within ten (10) days from this date, andthat the City Clerk immediately forward to said Carrothers Construction Company, Inc. p a certified Copy of this motion. Street light Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that the report of the Police Department alley behind Rosary School; concerning the need for a street light on alley behind Rosary School be receivedand filed and that the City Manager be authorized to request the Kentucky Utilities Company to install said light. Letter JachsCommissioner Trevathan offered motion that a letter from the Andrea Jackson School t/ Reassessment Faculty, addressed to Mayor George Jacobs and the Board of Commissioners, dated April 20, 1956, endorsing a program of reassessment of property for tax purposes, be received and filed. Letter Brazel Commissioner Trevathan offered motion that the letter from the Brazelton Faculty, ton School Reassessmen , signed by Charles McClain, Principal, addressed to Mayor George Jacobs and dated April 19, 1956, endorsing a program to equalize property tax assessments, be received and filed.
