( The meeting :ras called for the purpose of hearing charges which had been preferred against Louis E. Sumner. Mayor Cherry offered motion that the copies of the Notice of Called Koeting, to be held at 2:00 P.M. on December 9, 1955, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). ?Ile bids I Cherry offered motion that the following bids received by the City of Police car.: Paducah on one (1) police car be received and filed: Taylor -Wilson Chevrolet-Cadillas CaskeLy Pontiac Company West entucky I:otor Company, Inc. Declaratory Mayor Cherry offered motion that the Corporation Counsel be instructed to file, Action on behalf of the City of Paducah, in the IdcCracken Circuit Court, a Declaratory Jude Television Permits ment action for the purpose of determining the legal status of all television permits tinich have been granted, and the legal status of the revocation of all of the tele- vision permits. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4). Accept bid Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "API ORDINANCE .lest Ky. :otor Cc ACCEPTING THE BID OF WEST KENTUCKY MOTOR C%TANY, INC. FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF Police Car PADUCAH OF 011E (1) 1956 PLYMOUTH AUTOMOBILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY I-IANAGER TO COW - TRACT TO PURCHASE SA146n, be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its .final �I passage. De -7 and being sufficiently advised that the defendant has been guilty of violating Rules 11 and 20 of an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 7, 1947, which rules read as follows: I'll. Any immoral habits, lascivious or improper conduct not herein enumerated which would render him an unfit or improper person for employment in the Police Department. 1120. Leaving his regular beat unless in the per- formance of duty, or upon order of a superior officer. it is therefore the judgment of the Board of Commissioners that the defendant, Louis E. Sumner be, and he is hereby, suspended from duty in the police depart - ii for a period of thirty (30) days, said suspension to be without pay and effective immediately.
