Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 2:00 P.N. on December 9, 1955, Mayor
Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
v Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4).

The meeting :ras called for the purpose of hearing charges which had been
preferred against Louis E. Sumner.
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the copies of the Notice of Called Koeting, to
be held at 2:00 P.M. on December 9, 1955, be received and filed. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4).
?Ile bids I Cherry offered motion that the following bids received by the City of
Police car.:
Paducah on one (1) police car be received and filed:

Declaratory Mayor Cherry offered motion that the Corporation Counsel be instructed to file,
Action on behalf of the City of Paducah, in the IdcCracken Circuit Court, a Declaratory Jude

Permits ment action for the purpose of determining the legal status of all television permits

and being sufficiently advised that the defendant has been guilty of violating Rules
11 and 20 of an ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on January 7, 1947,
which rules read as follows:
I'll. Any immoral habits, lascivious or improper
conduct not herein enumerated which would
render him an unfit or improper person for
employment in the Police Department.
1120. Leaving his regular beat unless in the per-
formance of duty, or upon order of a superior
officer.
it is therefore the judgment of the Board of Commissioners that the defendant,
Louis E. Sumner be, and he is hereby, suspended from duty in the police depart -
ii for a period of thirty (30) days, said suspension to be without
pay and effective immediately. Adopted on call of the Rolls Yeas,
Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (4).
On motion the meeting adjourned.

of a quorum.
