Dr. B.E. Commissioner Riggs offered the following motion: I move that the
McGarvey V
Agreement letter of Dr. B. E. McGarvey to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners dated October 11,
maintain
curbing & 1955, agreeing to maintain, for a period of five (5) years, the access ramp and
Rama
21st & Park- curbing off 21st Street to the parking area in the rear of his office at 2024 Park Ave
because of the use of gravel in the concrete mix in the construction of same, and
agreeing to indemnify the city from the claims of anyone who might be injured because
of defects in same, be received and filed, and I further move that the City Manager
be, and he is hereby directed to authorize the Director of Public Works to issue
any necessary certificate or permit authorizing such construction. Adopted on call
of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Riggs and I•ayor Cherry (3).
Eugene B. Mayor Cherry offered the following motion: I move that the letter

At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on October 18,
1955, in the
Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky at 7:30 P.ti.

presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names:
Commissioners
Hannin. Riggs and Mayor Cherry (3), Commissioners Jacobs and Hughes
beim absent
(2).
Mayor Cherry offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for
October 11, 1955
be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the
City Clerk be
approved as written. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners
Hannin, Riggs
and Mayor Cherry (3).
Liability
Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners
policy
I.H.Yancy
receive, file
and approve Memorandum of Insurance issued by the Fidelity and Casualty
Company covering work done by W. H. Yancy for a period of one year from November 4,
1955. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Riggs and Mayor
Cherry (3).
