Kayor Cherry offered notion that the notices of a called meeting to be held on Tuesday, August 16, 1955, at 7:30 P.Ii. be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and !-wayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the letter dated Au ust 16, 1955 From the Paducah Airport Corporation requesting the City to join with i..cCracken County and the Paducah Airport Corporation in the deed conveyinS certain right-of-way for the department of highways, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and ldayor Cherry (5). Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Agreement executed on June 15, 1955 by the City of Paducah, County of i•ScCracken and United States of America per- mitting landing of military planes at Barkley Field to and including June 30, 1960, r be received and filed. Williams, Attorney for R. C. Jennings, itritten to the Mayor, i City i:anager and Corporation Counsel, setting forth a claim of R. C. Jennings against i D. W. Falls Construction Company in the sum of '18,692.15 be sent by registered nail j by the City Clerk to said D. W. Falls Construction Company. Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the Board of Coiinissione-rs receive and file the letter dated August 9, 1955, from :faller, Threlkeld and I.111itlo?, concerning the closing of a portion of 24th Street and the alley•ri.thin the area bounded by 24th Street, 25th Street, Washington Street and the property of the j Board of 'Education of the City of Paducah.
