At a Re`ular :-ieeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chambe.
of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.I•:. on February 8, 1955, i-blyor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Corunissioncrs
Hannin, Ilurhes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
I.:ayor Cherry offered motion that the readin3 of the i•:inutes for February 1, 1955
be waived and that the iainutes of said meeting as prepared by the City Clerk be approved
as ::zitten. Adonted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hushes, Jacobs,
R.iXs and 1-layor Cherry (5) .
Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
sale by the City of Paducah to,Ruth Blakemore of Grave DIo. 63 in Block No. 8 of the
Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute
a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Crissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and :layer Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
sale by the City of Paducah to Alice Young Coleman of Grave No. 59 in Block No. 8 of the
Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute
a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5).
Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the
sale by the City of Paducah to Thelma Davis of Grave Pio. 65 in Block I•lo. 8 of the
Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute
a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
Commissioners Ilannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and i•;ayor Cherry (5).
Iayor Cherry offered motion that the copy of the motion passed by the Paducah
Planning and Zoning Commissioh on February 2, 1955 recommending the closing of tine
easternmost 130 feet of the alley which runs from 27th street to Joe Clifton Drive
between Trimble and Clay streets, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the
;toll, Yeas, Co,=dssioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and i-ayor Cherry (5).
Cor:..:issioner Hushes offered motion that the Resolution adopted by the Jackson
Harris 'roat 1191, Veterans of Foreign Wars regarding the use of traffic signs, signals
and devices or, the streets in the vicinity of each of the churches to regulate traffic
usin;; ad;jacen.t street^, to inmire safety of pedestrians going to and coming from churches
received `ilcri. Adopted on call of the Holl, Yeas, •Cormaissioners Hannin,

ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY SITUATED BET'v/EEI'a CLAY
STREET AND TRIMLE STREET AND RUNNING FROM 27TH STREET TO 213TH STREET OR JOE CLIFTON
DRIVE IPI PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING TILE CORPORATION COUDSEL TO INSTITUTE A
SUIT IN THE P•ioCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID PORTIOD OF SAID
ALLEY LEGALLY CLOSED111 be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas,
