I.H.Strick nd Mayor Cherry offered motion that the resignation of I. H. Strickland as a Resigatio Electric member of the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah be received, filed and Plant Board accepted as of January 31, 1955. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5). I.H.Stric a Layer Cherry offered the following motion:. Gus T. Smith, having tendered his HOS.i.ta1 ) Board resignation as a member of the Paducah Municipal Hospital Commission, I hereby appoint Street 1 Palzer U r'erzo Jr 'doman's Club taxation Air Pollu. tion Howard Woodall Appointed I. H. Strickland as a member of said board to fill the unexpired term of the said Gus T. Smith, which term will expire on December 31, 1956. Said Board as now constituted shall be composed of the following members: W. J. Pierce whose term expires December 31, 1955 Leslie Long whose term expires December 31, 1955 I,rs. H..T. Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the City Manager have an investigation made to determine the need for a street light on Palmer Street, where Herzog Street enters Palmer. He further moved that if it is found that said light is needed, that he instruct the Kentucky Utilities Company to make such installation. Com=missioner Hannin offered motion that the letter from the Junior Woman's Club re_•ardin, inequalities now existing in taxation, be received and filed. Grave RuaCommissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the Addition to G Fannie sale by the City of Paducah to Fannie Deborr of Grave No. 64 in Block No. $ of the Deborr h Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Nayor Cherry (5). Street light! Commissioner Riggs offered the following motion: I move that the Board of ;•:urray & olive Commissioners receive and file the petition signed by Fred H. Morgan and others requesti the installation of a street light at the intersection of Murray Avenue and Olive Street I further move that the City Manager have an investigation made to determine whether or not this light is needed and if so that he authorize the Kentucky Utilities Company to make such installation. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, ✓Hughes, Jacobs, Riggs and Mayor Cherry (5). Gas & Oil Commissioner Riggs offered the follorri.ng motion: I move that an ordinance contract with ;-:id-Continent entitled: "A`I ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO Eh1ER INTO A CONTRACT WITIi IuD-CONTI1JMT PETROLEUM CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR AND ETHYL GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL, MOTOR OIL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR LUBE OIL AND ANTI -FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR THE FIRST SIX IANTHS OF THE YEAR 1955, AND PRESCRIBING THE TER113 AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE I.LWE", be adopted.
