Mayor Pro Tem Jacobs offered motion that the reading of the Minutes for i December 14, 1954 be waived and that the Minutes of said meeting as prepared by the i; City Clerk be approved as written . Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Pro Tem Jacobs (4). i Street lights / Commissioner Hughes offered motion as follows: I move that the Board of 2900 block ✓ Virginia St. Commissioners receive and file the petition signed by Perry N. Smith and others requesting installation of two (2) street lights in the 2900 block on Virginia Street, I further move that the City Manager have an investigation made to determine whether or not these lights are needed, and if so, that he authorize the Kentucky Utilities Company to make such installations. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners - Iit Hannin, Hughes, Riggs; and Mayor Pro Tem Jacobs (4). Agreement ! Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive Municipal League collect Delinq and file the Agreement employing the Kentucky Municipal League to make an investigation! taxes from U Insurance Cos. +I and collect unpaid, escaped and delinquent privilege license taxes from Insurance Companies doing business in the City of Paducah, which agreement is dated December 12, 1954- Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin,Hughes, Riggs I and Mayor Pro Tem Jacobs (4). Order -Dept of / Commissioner Hughes offered motion that the Order of the Department of ! Motor Trans. r/ Bus Service Motor Transportation regarding the demand and necessity for motor bus transportation over the streets of the City of Paducah, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the /Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and b+.ayor Pro Tem Jacobs (4). Paducah Transit Commissioner Riggs offered motion that the letter of Paducah Transit Corporation request Corporation of December 21, 1954, to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners requesting authorization certain authorization to operate a motor bus line in the City of Paducah, Kentucky be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, commissioners Hannin, Hughes, Riggs and Mayor Pro Tem Jacobs (4). Street light sorest Circle Mayor Pro Tem Jacobs offered the following motion: I move that the City I %. Lone Oak. Roads I, I•anager rake an investigation to determine the need for a street light at the inter - section. of Forest Circle and Lone Oak Road. gggp I further move that if it is found that said light is needed that the City I &anagor instruct the Kentucky Utilities Company to make such installation. Proceedings of Board of Commissioners City of Paducah Deee, er 2j,,_195L. Permit Paducah Commissioner Riggs offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE Transit Corp. GRANTING AN AUTHORIZATION AND PERMIT TO PADUCAH TRANSIT CORPORATION FOR THE ESTABLISH - operate buses MiT, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF A MOTOR BUS TRANSPORTATION SYSTE$4 IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR THE TRANSPORTATION FOR HIRE OF PASSENGERS AS A CO101ON CARRIER; FIXING THE TERIS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH GRANT AND DECLARING AN FJ-MGENCY TO EXIST", be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
