L"ayor Johnston being absent. Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Liability Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, file an policy Roo ( approve the liability policy issued by the MAryland Casualty Company protecting the City i_�i:a� of Paducah with respect to work done by Roe '''411kina from June 6, 1950 to September 6, 19 Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Pro Tem Hannin (4). St. Light, Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the City Manager be directed to have an inve 31st & j Clark tigation and report made as to whether a street light is needed at 31st and Clark Stroo and if such investigation discloses the need for a street light that he be directed to have such installation made. Sims, Thomas and L:ayor Pro Tam Hannin (4). i St. Light Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the recommendations of the Chief of I-olice Sowellu Tully Sts and the City Manager relative to the installation of a street light at the inter-------- of ntersectionof Sowell and Tully Streets be received and filed, and that the City tanager be directed 11 to request the Kentucky Utilities Company to insrall a light at this location. Henry Collins, the City increase'; Deputy r Treasurer recomatendinE an increase in the salary of laTa. Nm ma Gatewood, the Deputy A;sessor'- Assessor, from 1;145.00 per month to ;3155.00 per month, effective June 1, 1950, be reooiva and filed, and that the Attorney for the city be authorized to prepare an amendment of the ordinance under which salaries are fixed, said ordinance to provide for the payment cll a salary of 155.00 per month to the said Mrs. Norma Gatewood as of June 1, 1950.
