HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 22, Page 67, May 31, 1950No.- .67 Proceedings of_ Board of Commissioners City of Paducah Way 31, 1950 i At a Regular Meeting of the uoard of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber I at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7.30 P.W. on May 31, 1950, ;.tayor Johnston presided and upon call of the Holl the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Wayor Johnston (5). Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Water line Fuckner Lane Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the petition of ':arle T. Shoup and his wife, Mary L. Shoup, for permission to make one connection with a one inch water pipe i line to a three inch water pipe line owned b•j Loren M. Jones so as to furnish crater to one residence to be constructed on Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, clock A, Sunset Court Addition facing on the South side of zuokner Lane outside the city limits of Paducah, Ky., be received and filed and the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions contained in said petition. i It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of :'later Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligations shall be obtained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for ;rater service at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Tater Works which may be now in force or hereinafter enacted. Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or Its Commissioners of i;ater Works to guarantee water pressure or service and said water service may be discontinued through said pipe line or any part thereof at any time when in the judgment of the Commissioners of slater 'llorks the furnishing of water to the poti- tionera or their 3ucce33ors in ownership of the property now owned by them may interfere in any wise with the adequate supply and distribution of water inside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah. Proceedings of Foard of Commissioners __City of Paducah may 31, 1950 Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the recommendations of the City manage St. LightV 25th & and the Chief of Police relative to the need for a street light at the intersection of Monroe 25th and G,onroe Streets be received and filed, and that the City Mana ger be directed to request the Kentucky Utilities Company to install a street light at this intersection.
