Corrmissioner Clark offered motion that the petition from Fred Katterjohn and others requesting that the dumping of trash and garbage on Plunkets Hill be stopped as it is creating a nuisance by causing rats and by the odor, be received and filed. lie further moved that this matter be referred to the City Manager for investi- gation and required action. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and 1.ayor Cherry (5). Member Johnston offered motion that the petition of Dorothy Pierce Keniepp for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the 6 inch privately owned water line owned by Loren M:. Jones so as to furnish water to one residence to be constructed upon the property owned by the petitioner on lots 9 and 10 and the south one-half of lot 11 in Block 11 of Gregory Heights Addition to the City and fronting on cast side of North 40th Street and is outside the City limits of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. It is understood, however, that in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the city of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be obtained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. It is further understood that the petitioner will subscribe for water service at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the cit limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of 'dater Works which may be now in force or hereafter enacted. Mayor Cherry offered motion that the petition of Hearley Neal Oliver and wife, Thelma Oliver, R. A. Stephens and Ronald B. Jones and Airlene Gas Company, for per- mission to connect to the privately owned water line of Katterjohn Concrete Products Incorporated, which privately owned water pipe line is located on 10th Street. Petitioners will thence extend said connection to their properties located on the Beltlin Highway, all of which property are located outside the city limits of Paducah, Kentucky, be received and filed and the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition. It is understood, however, that in granting the privilege sought in said Petition neither the city of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be obtained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the city of Paducah. P r. entered into 9th day of September, 1952, by the Paducah Water Works, Municipally Owned, party of the first part, Harry D. Abell and wife, Burton A. Washburn and wife, R Leon Higdon and wife, Gresham Hougland and wife, referred to in said agreement as second parties, Loren M. Jones and wife, referred to in said agreement as third parties, 4 relative to the construction of a 6-1 cast iron water main from a point at the inter- section of north Central A enue and 41st S.�reet, thence to the properties of second h parties located on the Pines Road in McCracken County, Kentucky, which line will be connected to a privately owned water pipe line owned by parties of the third part and w ich line is to be laid for purpose of furnishing water for domestic purposes only to partie of 2nd part above referred to, be received and filed and that said agreement be Gapproved in accordance with the terms set forth therein. (5) Mayor Cherry offered the following motion; I move that the petition of Walter Lee Smith and wife, Audra Nell Smith, residing on Estes Lane in DicCracken County, outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky for authority to lay and construct a water line for thepurpose of providing water service to the building located on the property of petitioners be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. September 9 1952 I further move that the sum of $5393.70 be authorized for payment to Seth E. Giem and Associates as the balance due on Certificate No. 2 in accordance with the approved recommendation of the Hospital Commission, and that the City Treasurer be authorized and directed to draw a check, on the Riverside Hospital Building Account Fund i or the amount of said sum. Rushing Add, Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the Grave to Lillian ✓ sale by the City of Paducah to Lillian "racken of Grave No. 100 in Block No. $ of the Bracken Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to ( execute a deed of conveyance to said cemetery grave. Charles 11. 4 Commissioner Johnston offered motion as follows: It appearing that Charles H. Davis J � Accident Davis received first aid treatment at the Riverside Hospital and that he was also under Pay bills f, treatment of Dr. Walker N. Turner after being injured on July 23rd when his motorcycle came into collision with a truck of the fire department of the City of Paducah, and it further appearing that medical treatment was authorized by drnest Hannin, Chief of the Fire Department, for the reason that such treatment was immediately necessary; I therefore move that the City of Paducah pay the bill of the Riversbde Hospital in the amount of •;.5.50 for first aid treatment rendered the said Charles H. Davis following the aforesaid collision, and also pay the medical bill of Dr. Walker M. Turner in the sum of $23.00 for medical services he has rendered the said Charles H. Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the letter from the City of Paducah Municipal Housing Commission dated September 5, 1952, concerning Building and Electrical Fees for repair on Thomas Jefferson Place and Abraham Lincoln Court, be received and filed, and that a Resolution be prepared providing for said exemption. Commissioner Jacobs offered the following motion: I move that the letter of Oscar Talmage regarding refund of Building Permit No. 1876 be received and filed. Since it appears that an error was made in the request for refund which was approved by this board on August 12, 1952, I further move that the City Treasurer be directed to refund to Charles Thomas Hooper the additional amount of $1.75.
