At a Called ?!ccting of the Board of Corcaissioners held in the Carnission Chamber of the
City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky at 12:00 noon on July 1, 1952, Mayor Cherry presided and upon
call of the Roll the follaiiing anmmred to their names: Commissioners Clark, Johnston,
`.orrot5•, and Mayor Cherry (4), Commissioner Jacobs being absent (1).
Nayor Cherry offered notion that executed copies of Notices of Called :Iceting of
the Boar d of Commissioners to be held at 12:00 noon on July 1, 1952, served on Commissioners
Clark, Jacobs,,'orrov and Johnston be received and filed, Adopted on call of the roll, Yeas
Corunissioners Clark, Johnston, Yorrorr,and Mayor Cherry, (4).
Commissioner Morrow offered motion that an ordinance entitled: ",V7 ORDINANCE PROVIDMG FOR

be adopted. Adopted on call of the roll, Yeas Commissioners Clark, Johnston, Morrow, and
Mayor Cherry, (4)
Mayor Cherry offered the motion that the Board of Commissioners appoint Mr. Fred Ii. Morgan
to serve as City Manager of the City of Paducah, his appointment to become effective as of
July 1, 1952, and as such to be the executive agent of the Mayor and the Board of Commissioners
in the management of the City's affairs, to perform such other duties as may be imposed upon
him under the Statutes of the State of F.entucly and the ordinances of the City- of Paducah and
said manager to receive for his services the compensation noir provided for said position by
ordinance. Adopted on call of the roll, Yeas Comaissioners Clark, Johnston, Morrow, and
Mayor Cherry, (4).
