Nater lire Co=issioner Clerk offered motion that the petition of Clint Green and wife, Husbands Rd;. Water line Husbands Rd Mavis C. Green, residing on the Husbands Road in McCracken County, outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Ky. for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of providing water service to the building located on the property of petitioners be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privileges sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service t the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to. consumers outside the city limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or therein- after enacted. Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of 'Plater Works to guarantee pressure or service and said water service rray be discontinued through said pipe line at any time when in the judgment of its Commissioners of Water Works the furnishing of water to the petitioners or their successors in ownership of the property owned may interfere in any wise with the adequat supply and distribution of water inside the corporate limits of the City of Pqducah. Medley, residing on the Husbands Road in McCracken County, outside the corporat limits of Paducah, Ky. for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of providing water service to the building located on the property of petitioners be received and filed and that the request ih said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. Potter, residing on th Hinkleville Road in VcCracken County, outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of providing water service to a trailer camp located on the property of petitioner be received and filed ani that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall b e contained or be 8mplied hereafter should the territor y to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah It is further understood that the petitioner will subscribe for water service at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or herein- after enacted. Proceedings ofBoard of Commissioners _City of Paducah June 10_1952 Liability Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, file Policy r James Hopkins) and approve Certificate of Insurance issued by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Pryor Wooley i i Company protecting the City of Paducah with respect to work done by James Hopkins for a period of one year from May 24, 1952; also .letter of Henneberger Insurance Agency relative to policy being issued by the Coal Operators Casualty Company for Pryor Wooler. Mid -Continent( Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the "Acceptance of Contract" executed by Gasoline Contract I'I Mid -Continent Petroleum Company, dated June 2, 1952, be received and filed. Adopted II on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and ilayor Cherry (5). Gas Regulators✓ Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Western Kentucky Gas Company be in Grass Plots permitted to locate and construct regulator stations in grass plots on street rights-of- way in the City of Paducah provided that the locations do not interfere with the egress or ingress to any adjacent property or any street or alley, provided the placing of i said regulators are at points approved by the City Engineer; provided also that such permission to use the grass plots for such purpose is permissive only and may be with - 'f drawn at any time by notice to the Western Kentucky Gas Company, its successors or assigns who shall thereupon remove any such regulator within 60 days thereafter; and �! provided further that the Western Kentucky Gas Company assumes the entire responsibility 11 for maintaining such regulators and agrees to indemnify the City of Paducah against any loss or damage it may sustain by reason of the accidental injury, death or damage to the S person or property of any person, firm or corporation resulting from such regulators. To protect the City of Paducah from liability aforesaid, said company will deliver to the City and continue to keep in force a liability insurance policy or policies in sums of not less than $110,00 for the injury or death of any one person and not less than Ir $20,000 for injury or death of all persons affected by one accident, and not less than r $1,000 for the benefit of persons who may sustain property damage in any one accident. h. Close Alley / Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and block south of ::Orton btw N file copy of the motion passed by the Planning and Zpning Commission recommending the 27th and 28th closing of an alley in the block south of Norton street between 27th and 28th streets. He further moved that the Corporatioh Counsel be directed to prepare for intro- duction at the next meeting an ordinance providing for the closing of said alley. Option ✓ Mayor Cherry offered motion that the City Manager obtain an option from the owners purchase 228 N 8th St of real estate Located at 228 North 8th Street for the purchase of said property by the City of Paducah; that said option be for a period of 45 days and that the amount therefo be not greater than authorized by law for any other purchase by the City Manager without an ordinance and that the sum so paid for said option shall be credited upon the aforesa d purchase price in the event said option is exercised.
