HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 22, Page 374, March 18, 1952N.. _ 37-* Proceedings oF_ Board of Commissioners City of Paducah March 18, 1952 At a Regular Fleeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the 'Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on March 18, 1952, Mayor Cherry presided and upon call of the Roll. the following answered to their names; Commissioners Clark, Johnston, idorrow and Mayor Cherry (4), Commissioner Jacobs being absent (1). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. Rushing Add Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve Cemetery Graves to the sale by the City of Paducah to Marie Smith of Graves Nos. 86 and 87 in Block No. 8 Y.arie Smith of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to execute deeds of conveyance to said cemetery graves. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (4). Close Sts Commissioner Clark offered the following motion: I move that tiis board School Rd. Open 25th 'f1receive and file the copy of the motion adopted by the City Planning and Zoning Commissio Street ✓ Manager on March 14, 1952 with reference to the closing of certain streets through property owned investigate by the Board of Education, and also with reference to the acquisition of a right of way G for the opening of 25th street. I further move that the City Manager be directed to make an investigation and report concerning the acquisition of a right-of-way for the opening of 25th street as recommended by Mr. Kenneth L. Schellie, City Planning and Zoning Consultant, and as shown on the map prepared by him. I further move that the Corporation Counsel be directed to prepare an ordinanc providing for the closing of Clinton Road from 23rd street to 24th street and the closing of 24th street from Washington street to Jackson street after the city has first secured a valid. easement ten (10) feet wide on each side of the center line of existing sewer facilities inbedded in said streets for repair, maintenance and replacement purposes. SPEARS IN THE AMOUNT OF $375.00 for PURCHASE AND REMOVAL OF THE RESIDENCE BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENTS UPON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH AT 234 NORTH 8TH STREET; DIRECTING THE SALE OF SAID BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENTS TO JESSE R.
