Proceedings of_ Board of Commissioners City of PnducaR_ Mare, 1952 _
At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission
Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on March 4, 1952, Mayor Cherry
presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners
Clark, Jacobs, Johnston, Morrow and Mayor Cherry (5).
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read.
Water Commissioner Clark offered motion that the petition of Loren M. Jones for permissic

Gregory Hts to make one connection with a 3/4 inch connection to the 2 inch water pipe line owned by
Loren M. Jones so as to furnish water to one residence to be constructed upon property
owned by petitioner on Lots 13 and 14, Block "C", Gregory Heights Addition, outside the
city limits of Paducah, Kentucky be received and filed and the request petitioned for
therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition.
It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to bu
said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be obtained or be implie
hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the
authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
It is further understood that the petitioner will subscribe for water service at
the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside .the city
limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah
or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereafter enacted.
Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or its

in the judgment of the Commissioners of Water Works the furnishing of water to the
petitioner or his successors in ownership of the property now owned by him may interfere

constructed upon property owned by petitioners on Lots 30 & 31, Lot 3 and a part of Lot
4 in block 5 and Lots 6 & 7 in Block 7 of Thurman's Minerva Place Addition, outside the
city limits of Paducah, Kentucky be received and filed and the request petitioned for
therein be granted subject to the terms and conditions in said petition.
It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petition
neither the city of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be obtained or be

Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition of Lucian Howle and wife,

Odessa Howle, residing on Theobald Lane for authority to connect a 3/4 inch water pipe
line to the privately owned pipe line of Schneidman Road 'dater Line Number 2 for the
purpose of providing water service for domestic purposes to the property of said
petitioners, be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in
accordance with the terms set forth therein.
It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition
neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to
buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or
implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under
the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
