Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. nater line `I Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition of V. R. Keeling and Husbands Rd. wife, Lillian Keeling, residing on the west side of the Husbands Road in McCracken Count Kentucky to connect two 3/4 inch water pipe lines to the privately owned pipe line along and under the Husbands Road outside the city limits of Paducah, Kentucky, which privatel owned line is a 2 inch line, for the purpose of providing water service for domestic purposes to the property of said petitioners, be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside GG the city limits of Paducah and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations u of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may now be in force or hereinafter enacted. Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the. City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee pressure or service and said water ser- vice may be discontinued through said pipe line at any time when in the judgment or its Commissioners of Water Works the furnishing of water to the petitioners or their successors in ownership of the property owned may interfere in any wise with the ade- quate supply and distribution of water inside the corporate limits of the City of °aducah. Proceedings of.__ :cmissienrrs City of Paducah .1y i C;p S 3rd ane e�.;aytes ;te;:pst b:,�•: ` addle L<ral i . as a part of said fair vrounds, and it is believed to be in the interest or the _ic that said building be constructed at the least possible cost; and WHEREAS, it is represented that the building is being constructed by the builder without profit to him; I therefore move that the County of McCracken and its contractor who is to construct the building on the property known as the "Fair Grounds" be exempt from paying building fees and electrical fees to the City of Padmcah, and the City of Paducah Building Inspector and Electrical Inspector issue without charge such building permits and electrical permits as may be required by McCracken County and its contractors or em ployees in the erection of a housing unit on said property. Provided however, that suc permits shall not be issued to a contractor or builder who is not licensed under the City of Paducah license ordinance of December 23, 1947, as amended, and provided further, that no building or electrical permit be issued for construction that does not comply with the Building Cpde, the Standards of Safety and all laws and ordinances relating to the same subject matter which are not in conflict with this motion. Provided further that the Building Inspector and Electrical Inspector shall inspect the work herein contemplated in order to see that the work meets with the specification and requirements of all ordinances and regulations. Mayor Cherry offered motion that the Financial Rrport of the Paducah Water Works for the month of December, 1951, be received and filed. Mayor Cherry offered the following motion: A vacancy having existed in the 3lectric 'Plant Board since the resignation of R. L. Lang, I hereby appoint I. H. Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A SUPPLEMENTAL CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE LOPE OAK WATER DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF", be adopted. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston and Mayor Cherry (4). Mayor Cherry offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file the letter dated February 2, 1952 from the Paducah 'nater Works anda copy of a Supplemental Contract dated January 21, 1952 by and between the City of Paducah and the Lone Oak Water District, which Supplemental Contract amends and modifies a contract heretofore entered into between said parties on March 31, 1947 as is provided for in an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE ACTION OF THE BOARD OF CONMISSIONEi OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH ON MARCH 25, 1947 AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR THE SALE OF SURPLUS WATER TO THE LONE OAK WATER DISTRICT, AND APPROVING AND RATIFYII THE CONTRACT EXECUTED ON MARCH 31, 1947 PURSUANT TO SAID ACTION", which was passed by the Board of Commissioners on April 1, 1947. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Ccmmissioners Clark, Jacobs, Johnston and Mayor Cherry (4). Commissioner Clark offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file the letter of Dan Kreutzer dated February 4, in which he requests that he. be relieved of the position of Gas Inspector and returned to service as a Grade A Fireman. He states in his letter that he understands that his salary will be reduced from x'265 per mcnth to ;:250 per month.
