Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on May 29, 1951, ^or Pro Tem Hannin presided in the abeence of Mayor Johnston and upon call of the .Roll r the following answered to their names: Commissioners Javobs, Thomas and Mayor Pro 'em Hannin (3), Commissioner Sims and Mayor Johnston being absent (2). l ica Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition signed by the Employees of H. A. Petter Supply Company requesting that the City of Paducah adopt Daylight Saving 'rime be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Jacobs, Thomas and Mayor Pro Tem Hannin (3). Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition of C. M. Shemwell and wife Maud R. Shemwell, and M. Shannon Shemwell, residing on Meacham Lane in McCracken County, Kentucky, outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and con d struct a water line for the purpose of supplying water to one residence on the property of each petitioner, be received and filed and that the request in said petition be grante in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be implied here- after should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service at the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of 'nducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereinafter _..acted. It is understood, however; in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to f buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be f implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah.
