At an Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on May 15, 1951 Mayor Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5). Petition Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition signed by Bert McGregor and Bethel St Gutters & others requesting that consideration be given to the guttering and hard -surfacing of Hard -surface Bethel Street, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5)• Water conn. ✓ Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition of Mrs., Syble Wallace for Central Ave permission to connect a 3/4 indh water pipe line to the 14 inch privately owned water pip line of R. M. Bell and to extend said line into property of petitioner located on Central Avenue or North 36th Street (Lot 22 Bradshaw`s Country Club Addition) be received and filed and the request petitioned for therein be granted subject to the terms and con- ditions contained in said petition. It is understood, however, that in granting the privileges sought in said petition fl neither the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be obtained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. It is further understood that the petitioner will subscribe for water service at j I the rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city I limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereafter enacted. Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or itsi Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee water pressure or service and said water servic may be discontinued through said pipe line or any part tBereof at any time when in the judgment of the Commissioners of Water Works the furnishing of water to the petitioner or her successors in ownership of the property now owned by her may interfere in any wise with the adequate supply and distribution of water inside the corporate .limits of the City of Paducah. Bell for per- ertral Ave mission and authority to make one 3/4 inch connection to the 11 inch privately owned water 'pipe line on Central Avenue or North 36th Street, if extended, as designated in his peti- tion, be received and filed and that the requests in said petition be granted in accordant F with the terms set forth therein. I therefore move that the Board refuse to approve said Class 3000 Typewriter Bookkeeping Machine for the reason stated above. Floodwall / Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the option for the construction easement Eastments ✓ Johnson and for a perpetual easement executed by Hollis and Lynora Johnson; an option for Franklin Weatherington permanent right of way executed by Kelly and Ruby Marie Franklin; an option for Terrell ' permanent right of way executed by F. M. and Nellie Weatherington; and an option for an easement only executed by H. P. and Christine M. Terrell be received and filed. Boyd,' fare- letter Mr. Boyd ;danger, Paducah Bus Company regarding an increase in the fares for bus transportation, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5). Mr. Zisman use ✓ Mayor Johnston offered the following motion: It appearing that Mr. Sam Zisman, city car a consultant of the Housing and Home Finance Agency, is presently engaged in the making o ii Ia survey in the City of Paducah for a master plan in connection with zoning, building ' restrictions and other rules and regulations pertaining thereto, and that all of said services are for the use and benefit of the City of Paducah and is in furtherance of its governmental functions; I therefore move that the action of the City Manager permitting the said Mr. Zisman to have the use of a city automobile for his convenience in performing his work be ratified and approved.
