Proceedings of___Bi+a.rd_of_rommiscioners City of Paducah Apri1 21 1 19551 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners held in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on April 24, 1951, Mayor Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5)• r Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read. Vater line V, Commissioner Sims offered motion that the petition of L. W. Estes and wife, Eliza Homewood Ave T. Estes, residing on Homewood Ave. outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky for authority to lay and construct three water lines for the purpose of providing water service to the buildings located on the property be received and filed and that the request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting theprivilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe lines or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water lines to be laid under the authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. It is further understood that the petitioners will subscribe for water service at t rates now or hereafter prescribed for water service to consumers outside the city limits and subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works which may be now in force or hereinafter enacted. Nothing in the granting of this petition shall obligate the City of Paducah or its Commissioners of Water Works to guarantee water pressure or service, and said water service may be discontinued through said pipe lines at any time when in the judgment of the Commissioners of Water Works the furnishing of water to the petitioners or their successors in ownership of the property owned may interfere in any wise with the adequare supply and distribution of water inside the corporate limits of the City of Paducah. Higdon and wife, Gregory Hts. Elizabeth Lucille Higdon, for permission to make one 3/4 inch connection to the two inch pipe lire of Loren I•:. Jones on property Lot 18 in Block "C", Gregory Heights Subdivision, and for permission to make fifteen connections of either 3/4 inch or one inch water pipe line to the six inch water line of Loren M. Jones at property Lots 1 through 15 on an unrecorded plat, which lots are located on North Central Avenue, outside the city limits of Paducah, Ky., be received and filed and the requests petitioned for therein be granted subiect to the t_. ^s and conditions contained in said petition. Water line ✓ Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the petition of Katterjohn Concrete North 10th St. Products, Inc., by George W. Katterjohn for permission and authority to lay and construct) i a six inch water main as an extension of the existing water main of the Paducah Water Works on North 10th Street for a distance of approximately 920 feet inside the city limits of Paducah and thence a distance of approximately 650 feet to the property of petitioner at the intersection of North 10th street and Estelle Street outside the city limits of Paducah for the purpose of furnishing water to petitionerTs property for commercial purposes, be received and filed and that the permission sought be granted in accordance i with the terms set out in said petition. It is understood that the water to be furnished through said water pipe line will be surplus water and furnished to consumers outside the city limts of Paducah, Kentucky subject in all respects to the rules and regulations of the City of Paducah and its Commissioners of Water Works which may now be in force or hereinafter enacted. Change name�/` Commissioner Hannin offered motio n that the Board of Commissioners receive and Alabama & Georgia Sts file a copy of a motion passed by the City Planning and 'Zoning Commission recommending to Cornell St. that the name of the portion of the present Alabama Street lying between the north line of the Old Mayfield Road and the north line of the Pace Addition, and the portion of the I present Georgia Street lying between the north line of Schmidt Street and the south line of Seitz Street be changed to "Cornell Street". Clark St. Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file 28th to RR Letter T.A. the letter of T. A. Policy & Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive, approve Bond l+.B.Brown and file the Certificate of Insurance issued by the New Amsterdam Casualty Company to R.C.Jennings W.B.Brown and the City of Paducah for a period of one year from March 28, 1951; also the 3urety Continuation Certificate on behalf of R.C.Jennings in favor of the City of Paducah in the amount of 14,500.00 issued by the American Employers' Insurance Company, said Certififate to be continued in force from May 18, 1951 to May 1$, 1952• Adopted on call of the Poll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5). Transfer Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the Cemetery lot to transfer from E. A. Morris and Nary Morris to Beulah Bryan..6f the northeast one-fourth of Beulah Byran lot No. 69 in Block No. 2 in the New Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the City Clerk be authorized to make the proper notation on the Cemetery Register. Lee, 1950 Certified Public Accountant, said Audit Report showing the financial condition of the City of Paducah as of December 31, 1950, together with the Audit Report prepared by the same accountant showing the condition of the improvement accounts for the year ending December 31, 1950, be received and filed. He further moved that the City Treasurer be authorized to publish in the Sun - Democrat the condensed form of said Audit Report.
