Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition of George C. Troutman and wife, Kathleen Troutman, residing on Husband Road outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of providin' water service to the buildings located on the property be received and filed and that th- request in said petition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of 'dater Works shall be obligated to buy said pip:: line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be implied 'here- after should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the authoritvi herein requested be taken into ormade a part of the City of Paducah. It appearinZ from the ballots which have been cast, being 51 in number, that the appointive employees of the city who voted, being a majority of the total number of such employees, were in favor of the election of Clay King.
