Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. nater IinIe Commissioner Jacobs offered motion that the petition of William Edward McNeill and wi , Husbands / load ✓✓I Imogene McNeill, residing on Husband Road outside the corporate limits of Paducah, Kentucky, for authority to lay and construct a water line for the purpose of providing water service to the buildings located on the property be received and filed and that the request in said petition , u be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. It is understood, however, in granting the privilege sought in said petition neither the City of Paducah, nor the Commissioners of Water Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the ;authority herein requested be taken into or made a part of the City of Paducah. Morgan and wife, Edens Place .hristeen Morgan, Mrs. Ruby L. Aiorgan, Roy H. Bahr, Sr. and wife, Bessie M. Bahr and :.rs. Katherine M. Block, owners of property in Edens Place, Addition to the City of Paduca , and outside the corporate limits of said city, for authority to connect to the privately owned pipe line of the Schneidman Road Water Line Number 2 for the purpose of providing water service for domestic purposes to the property of said petitioners be received and filed and that the requests in said pe tition be granted in accordance with the terms set forth therein. ! i It is understood, however, in granting the privileges sought in said petition neither! the City of Paducah nor the Commissioners of slater Works shall be obligated to buy said pipe line or any part thereof, and no such obligation shall be contained or be implied hereafter should the territory to be served by the water line to be laid under the auth- ority herein requested be taken into or made a part of•the City of Paducah. Brandstetter, Super - increase width -letter intendent of Parks, City of Paducah Park Board, and the petition signed by Mrs. D. G. petitior. Thurman and numerous other residents of the city, requesting that the width of Park hAvenue from 17th Street to the City Limits be increased to the full right-of-way width, ke referred to the Fiscal Court of McCracken County, Kentucky. He further moved that said letter and petition be given consideration by the Fiscal uiCourt and that said Court be urged to also approve the improvement of the aforesaid street land that said letter and petition be transmitted to the Commissioner of Highways for his (consideration provided the Fiscal Court shall also favor the improvement of said street. Hannin recommending taken for widening the steps to be taken by the Board of Commissioners in order to bring before the State Park Ave. Highway Department the necessity of increasing the width of Park Avenue from: 17th Street Ito the city limits, be received and filed. Bids on Fire/ Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file hose filed j bids submitted for the purchase of 1200 feet of 21 inch fire hose and 500 feet of 11 inch fire hose by the following: United States Rubber Company, Hank Brothers, local agents; Accept bid Fire hose United *St Rubber Glom Hannan Supply Company and Bogie Equipment Company. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin,Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5a). Mayor Johnston offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING T BID OF THE UNITED STATES RUBBER COMPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF 1200 FEET Y OF EUREKA MULTE% TWO PLY FIRE HOSE, AND 500 FEET OF VULCAN D.J. FIRE HOSE; AND AUTHORIZIN !THE CITY h!ANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID HOSE", be introduced land remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
