Minutes of the previous m-oting aero adopted as read. / Commissioner Fannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and file the letter of E.C.Steel, President of the Illinois Central Service, Club, in which he advises that the club opposes the adoption of the payroll tax ordinance. Adopted on cal of the Roll, Yeas Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and L'ayor Johnston (5). Cormissioner Jacobs offered :notion that the sale and conveyance of the south one -ha of Lot lie. 68, Block AA, of Oak Grove Cemetery, by John T. Dunn, and his wife, Bary Dunn to C. H. Howard and his wife, Sarah E. Howard, by deed dated December 1st, 1948, be approved and that the City Clerk be directed to enter on the cemetery register a record of the transfer of the title to said cometery property. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Fannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and ➢,:ayor Johnston (5). Commissioner Thomas offered motion that the Board receive and file the petition of :. i.0 A.C.-homas and others requesting installation of street lights at the intersection of 29 and Ohio Streets and 30th and Ohio Streets; and that the City 7%anager be directed to .request installation of lig-hts at these intersections if, after investi,ation, it b COund they arc needed.
