'_50 Proceed;ngs of___ `hard of Commissioners City of Paducah December 26, 1950 At a Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commission Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 P.M. on December 26, 1950, Payor Johnston presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5). minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Cemetery Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners approve the ,?rave Rushing contract for the sale by the City of Paducah to Bud Adams of Grave No. 81 in Block No. 7 Addition Sud Adams of the Rushing Addition to Oak Grove Cemetery, and that the attached executed contract for the sale of said cemetery property be delivered to the purchaser. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5). Bids on Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the Board of Commissioners receive and fil .Tact o Loader the bids submitted by Brandeis Machinery F.• supply Company, Road Builders Equipment Company and Nhayne Supply Company for the sale to the City of Paducah of one rubber tir e tractor loader, together with the tabulation of bids and the letter of T.A.Bradley, City Engineer, in which he recommends that the bid of Brandeis Machinery & Supply Company be accepted. 11 He further moved that the bid of Brandeis Machinery & Supply Company be accepted u and that the City ?danager be authorized to enter into a contract with said company far the purchase thereof. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Hannin, Jacobs, �I /1 Sims, Thomas and Mayor Johnston (5). :.Otter J Commissioner Hannin offered motion that the letter of the Paducah Central Labor Cen tral Labor Un. p housiUnion with reference to the critical housing shortage in Paducah be received and filed; ng shortac: that the Board of Commissioners approve the recommendation of the Paducah Central Labor Union contained in said letter; and that the City of Paducah Housing Commission be urged to revise the best bids submitted for the construction of the new housing project so that the wor:: can be started without delay. Urge Housing Commis stoner Hannin offered motion that the board of Commissioners go on record Commission approve asking the Housing Board, to approve the lowest bids on project KY 6-3 and forward said lowest bid bids to the Public Housing Authority asking that the commitment for said project be adjunted to moot the best bid. If it is found that the commitment can not ue raised to meet this bid that the successful bidders along with the architects and housing autllorit aecptiste adjustments in the plans and specificatlons so as to meet the commitmont wr•:ich can cn a, proved. Cancel Lease Mayor Johnston offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "Art ORDINAIICE PROVIDIN on North 6th Street Dump FOR THE CANCELLATION OF THE LEASE OF THE DUMP ON NORTH SIXTH STREET PROD THE CITY OF Oscar Nelson PADUCAH TO THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE AND SUPPLY COMPANY; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO NOTIFY OSCAR NELSON, PRESIDEAT OF THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE AND SUPPLY COMPANY OF THE CANCELLATION OF SAID LEASE", be adopted.
