AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SERVICES WITH ROOSEVELT GHOLSTON
AND COMPANY FOR A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW AND ANALYSIS OF THE
PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT AND IF NECESSARY, EXPEND $8,500 FROM
COMMISSION CONTINGENCY FOR SAID PROJECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
a Contract for Services with Roosevelt Gholston and Company in an amount not to
exceed $18,500 for a comprehensive review and analysis of the Paducah Police
Department.
SECTION 2. Due to the FY2003 budget appropriation for said project
being in the amount of $10,000 the City hereby approves, if necessary, the expenditure of
$8,500 from the Commission Contingency.
SECTION 3. In order to allow Mr. Gholston time to complete and
proceed immediately with the study before the City and the Fraternal Order of Police
contract negotiations open, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall become effective immediately with one reading
