Audit Paducah ��' Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the Audit Report of the Paducah !Vater V:nter corks 1943 `.Works prepared by Cotton & Eskow, Certified Public Accountants, for the year ending October 31, 1943, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Johnston, Pulliam, :7agner and Mayor Protein Dorian (4). I Riverside i Commissioner ti;agnor offered motion that the report of Riverside Hospital for thJ, Rosaital Report Nov. ' month of November 1943, to received and filed. Payrollfirst/� Commissioner Wagner offered motion that the payroll for the first half of half December 1943 Deoembor, 1943, be allowed in the amount of $10,217.56, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay the same by checks drawn on the General Fund. A_peal case y Commissioner 9agner offered the following motion: The Circuit Court having Andrew Fruce, Peyton, et adjudged in the action of the City of Paducah and Andrew Bruce Peyton and his wife, i. el. Lillian Peyton against the Commonwealth of Kentucky, at al., that the City of Paducah is legally liable for payment of state and county taxes levied against property since It was bought in by the City at a Commissionerva sale for satisfaction of the lien securing ad valorem taxes and public improvement aasasamonts; I therefore move that the Corporation Counsel be authorized to prosecute an a.npeal from the judgment in which the Circuit Court has held that the city is liable for payment of State and County taxes.
