HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes Book 20, Page 764, November 30, 1943NO._ Proceedings of City of Paducah- At aducah At a Regular 117coting of the board of Commissioners hold in the Commissioners' Chnrber at the City Rall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on November 30th, 1943, Mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Mayor Lackey (5). Minutes of the previous meetings were adopted as read: Cemetery�' Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the report of Oak Crave Cemetery Report Yov. 1943 for the month of November, 1943, be received. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yens, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Mayor Lackey (5). Wa ter Cc Commissioner Johnston offered motion that the financial report of the Paducah Report ✓ Oct. 1943 Water Works for the month of October, 1943, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, l'lac:nor and Mayor Lackey (5 Pick-up" Commissioner Wagner offered motion that the City Manager's letter of Stations Soldiers November 29th be received and filed and that the Board of Commissioners grant to the Lions Club the permission to place at the corner of 27th and Park Avenue the Brockport Bridge toll house for use as a "pick-up" station for soldiers who aro trying to hitch- hike back to camp or possibly to their home town. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Ftayor Lackey (5). Mr. Iseman' Mayor Lackey offered motion that subject to the approval of the United States use flood- 4 wall as Engineers Office, I move that C. R. Iseman, doing business under the firm name of fence %I Iseman Lumber Company, be permitted to temporarily use as a fence the floodwall running from dark Street to Adams Street, also to place temporary gates across two openings in said floodwall, upon the condition that he will enter into an agreement to indemnify the city on account of any repairs which may be made necessary by reason of his use of the floodwall an a fence and will, upon written notice, dis- t I, continue the use of the wall for that purpose. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, F Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Llayor Lackey (5). On motion the meeting adjourned.
