At a ReCular Meeting of the Hoard of' Commissioners hold in the Cotsissionors, Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky, at 7:30 o'clock P.71. June 1st, 1943, Yn yor Lackey presided and upon call of the roll the following answered to their names, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Viaener and Mayor Lackey (5). Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as read. Prohibit Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the Corporation counsel prepare ,pitting on sleowalk for introduction at the nest meeting of the Board of Commiaslonera an ordinance making It unlawful for any person to spit or to throw any trash, missile or other obfect out o. any window or an office or store building within the City of Paducah. Adopted on call sof the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Plagner and Mayor Lackey (5) Enforce / Commissioner Dorian offered motion that the City Nanager be requested to spittir.- v ordirince call to the attention of the Chief of Police Sections 5 and 7 of an ordinance adopted on August 10th, 1909, wherein it is provided that:- "SECTIOU 5 - It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, to spit or 'expectorate in any public conveyance run or operated within the (City of Faducah, Kentu "SECTION 7 - Any person or persons, firm or firms, corporation or J' corporations violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction h in the Police Court of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be fined in any sum not less than 4� One Dollar nor more than Five Dollars for each offense." I furthermove that the Board of Commissioners request of the City Manager that he have the Felice Department give particular attention to the enforcement of the M� above quoted provisions of the ordinance. Complete ILYA I� Mayor Lackey offered motion that an ordinance entitled: "All ORDINANCE Building I' APPROPRIATING A SU15 HOT EXCEEDING $3000.00 FOR THE COLIPLETION OF THE BUILDIIIG 04NED BY BTHE CITY OF PADUCAH AT 3rd AND OHIO STREETS FOR USE BY THE NATIONAL YOUTH ADL1INISTRA'LIO. IN THE OPERATION OF AN EDUCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, AUTHORIZING THE CITY LIANAGER TO I PURCHASE MATERIAL AND TO ENTPLOY LABORERS FOR THE COLIPLETION OF SAID BUILDING; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERLIS AND CONDITIONS UNDER 4HiICH HE SHALL ENTER INTO CON.'RACTS THEREFOR be adopted.
