At a Regular voeting of the Board of Commissioners hold in the Commins loners Chamber at the City Hall, Paducah, Kentucky at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on April 13th, 1943, mayor Lackey presided and upon call of the Roll the following answered to their names: Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, :Sagner and Mayor Lackey (5). 1 minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as road. W.P.Hu&mel,/ Commissioner Johnston offered the following motion: Wherena, Yl.P.Hummel Bond In the owner of a public improvement bond in the sum of .,°1000.00, being Bond No. 32 of Series A.T. and due and payable on July 1st, 1934; and whereas, the said W. P. Hum1 has lost said bond and the same cannot be found or produced by him; and, III Whereas, the said W.P. Hummel and Fidelity k Deposit Company of Maryland, as; his surety, have agreed to execute and deliver to the City of Paducah their bond under! I which they shall assume and pay all damages, judgments, costs, exponaes and charges, 1 ! including a reasonable attorney fee in defending all suits and actions, whother gaaund+ less or not, in which the said City of Paducah may be compelled to pay, or Incur, or become liable for, by reason of said bond; I therefore move that Bess B. Washam, the City Treasurer, be authorized to accept on behalf of the City of Paducah a bond signed by the said IV. P. Hummel and his surety, said bond to contain the covenants and conditions hereinabove mentioned, and that the City Treasurer be authorized to pay to the said W. P. Hummel the sum of 113.67 now duo on the aforesaid public improvement bond upon the delivery to her of th aforesaid bond signed by W. P. Hummel and his surety. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yens, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, dagner and mayor Lackey (5) waterworks ; Commissioner Wagner offered motion that the report of the Paducah ',Yater Renort J;; I1arch 143 ti 'Forks for the month of March, 1993, be received and filed. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Mayor Lackey (5). 3ell Lots Commissioner Dorian offered the following Motion: I move that an ordinance L ' cider', T.r.Larient' entitled: "AN ORDINANCE AUTHOWIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAI4 H.F.Tarner Mrs H.T.Pivers LOTS CR PARCELS OF LAND OWNED SY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, DESCRIBING THE R.L.reeven PHOP3RTY TO BE SOLD, PRESCRIBING T1IE TERMS OF :TALE AND AUTHORIZING TILE MAYOR AND CIT -1 CLERK. E 693 Proceedings of -Rpard of QommInslonora Cily of Paducah April 13th 1943 Booth for ✓, flayor Lackey offered motion that a permit be granted for the placing of a booth sale of bonds on the sidewalk near Walgreen's Drug Store at 5th E: Broadway for the sale of war bonds during the month of April. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, .'iagnor and Mayor Lackey (5). X50,000.00 Mayor Lackey offered motion that the City Langer arrange for the purchase of Sidking Fund! - 'Mar Ponds United Staten Treasury Bonds In the sum of $50,000.00 by use of the surplus accumulation in the sinking fund, and that an ordinance containing terms and conditions satisfactory to the City Managor be prepared for introduction at the next meeting, said ordinance providing for the purchase of such bonds. Adopted on call of the Roll, Yeas, Commissioners Dorian, Johnston, Pulliam, Wagner and Mayor Lackey (5). On motion the meeting adjourned. ADOPTED 1 Cit work 2 APPROVED M yor
